I frequently reflect on how fortunate I am to be pursuing my passion in the field I’ve always dreamed of. With this incredible project, I felt truly blessed to collaborate not only with a great friend but also with a fellow mother and business owner, realizing her dreams of expanding her venture.

Bonnie and I first met a few years back while serving on the board of Burlingame Parents Club. My son Winston was about 4 years old at the time, and Bonnie was expecting her adorable son, Julian. Our connection was immediate, and we’ve kept in touch throughout the years.

When the opportunity arose for us to collaborate on expanding Bonnie’s showroom from a modest 300 sqft to an impressive 3000 sqft space, we were both eager to get started. I was tasked with transforming two large 90s retro offices, complete with old carpeting, horrendous fluorescent ceiling lights, and other design flaws, into one grand and luxurious showroom, along with several smaller offices for Bonnie and her staff. The “before” look of this space is indescribable, so I encourage you to check out the YouTube video below for the full picture.

Bonnie’s vision for the formal showroom space included her custom jewelry display, a comfortable seating area for receiving clients, and an inviting reception/entry counter.

She envisioned the space to exude a welcoming warmth, providing her clients with a cozy atmosphere while they browse the exquisite jewelry on display. It was vital for her clients to feel at ease, knowing they could make important life decisions in such a comfortable and inviting setting

The centerpiece and most significant design feature of this space is the beautiful custom glass partitioned sliding doors, installed between the two large office spaces. These doors elegantly separate the glamorous By Bonnie Jewelry showroom from the film/photo shoot studio, where she creates content for her YouTube videos. Inspiration struck from a photo Bonnie shared with me, and I diligently centered the rest of the space around this breathtaking feature.

To ensure easy flow of traffic within the open space with neutral tones, we opted for beautifully curved furniture pieces. I meticulously selected items with interesting design details and textures to add a sense of warmth and comfort to the overall environment.

This project has been a true labor of love, combining my passion for design with the joy of collaborating with a dear friend and inspiring entrepreneur like Bonnie. Seeing her dream come to life in this expanded showroom has been immensely rewarding, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this remarkable journey.
