Villa Granada: A Tranquil Mediterranean Treehouse in the Hills

One of my absolute favorite aesthetics is the Spanish Mediterranean.

From the moment I walked into this home, it was truly love at first sight. The light was stunning throughout the rooms; the curves and the charming details all spoke to my soul.

The expansive living room, dining and kitchen area are very much the heart of this villa. During one of our first consultations, my clients shared that it was essential for them to have plentiful seating by the fireplace, a big enough coffee table for lots of little mezze plates and drinks, as well as livable fabrics that toddlers or clumsy adults could spill things on without ruining the joy of the evening. I let this statement be the cardinal rule for guiding me as I sourced and created the designs for the home.

I feel confident that we’ve achieved our goal of creating comfortable, flexible and effortless spaces that are elegant and understated for the family to enjoy and share with their loved ones. We used all performance fabrics for the soft furnishings throughout the spaces. We also added plenty of spaces for lounging with inviting and spacious sofas, benches and armchairs that can be enjoyed casually while hosting guests and during cozy family gatherings.

As for the primary bedroom, our intention was to heighten the sense of comfort, peace and serenity. The furniture has, therefore, rounded edges and soothing textures. It offers minimal interruption of the senses, making the space one that can be used to achieve ultimate zen.
