Location San Francisco
With this space I wanted to create a feminine, fun, warm and welcoming little girls’ playroom that would also double as a guest room.
I kept the colors fairly neutral with hints of blush pink, light pastels and brass gold. We painted the room a subtle blush pink color which added a layer of warmth, femininity and serenity. To emphasize that this was a play room, I added a chalkboard wall with an outlined chimney to create a fun eye catching yet functional play surface.
The pieces of furniture that I chose were not only beautiful but also multifunctional, as they allowed for ample storage space. I wanted to elevate the basic Kallax storage unit from IKEA by adding fun details such as the stripes around the cube bin and the handpicked bow gold plated knobs from Land of Nod.
This project was such a labor of love and I enjoyed every minute of it. I hope you guys enjoy the finished product as much as I do.
